One Giant Leap for Mankind
I painted One Giant Leap for Mankind in tribute to the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon, the greatest technological achievement in human history. The title One Giant Leap for Mankind is from Apollo 11 Commander Neil Armstrong's quote after first setting foot on the lunar surface. I find it hard to believe that the program was cancelled prematurely (Apollo 18, 19, 20 all cancelled) and that 40 years have passed without a single human returning to the Moon.
