Dissecting NGC4414 Digital Art Print
This digital work features an image of the spiral galaxy NGC4414. The galaxy itself is derived from a series of filtered Hubble Space Telescope raw data files I processed with astronomical image processing software. I then performed additional processing of the galaxy in Photoshop. "Dissecting" refers to the fine linear gridwork applied as an image overlay for the purpose of reminding the viewer of how important the science of astronomy is in our quest to understand our universe.
